Hydross w/o resist gear?

The guild I am in has recently lost some of their resist tanks, and I have heard that it is possible to tank him without resist gear with enough hp's and avoidance, etc.

Does anyone have experience with this that could give me and idea if we can still do hydross without having to grind out some more resist gear?

Yes it's possible, but you will have to move him earlier to avoid the big debuffs, and you will also need an extra healer. With the mark at 250% I've seen 13-15k hits with resist gear on.

So, yes, it's possible, but not suggested. It would be way better for the guild to come together and build another set.
