mana for karazhan

Im working on getting ready to maintank kara I would like to know how much mana I should have.....

Right now I am sitting at about 49% avoidance. (in the 50s when i pop my tortoise).

After gear changes i should be about 12k health, but i dont know how much mana I will have or where it should be.....

please help this raiding neophyte

You should have however much mana your gear gives you. There is no need to get gear with +intellect, and certainly don't gem for it. You will have a constant mana return via Spiritual Attunement.

I have about 4400 mana i think, but havent ever been needy in Kara. havent been that far but i cant see the later bosses hitting softer so i figure you wont have any issues. I ussually end the fight at 50% or above.

yep, Ive got 4.5k and I dont have any problems. mana is never an issue for us unless we OT where it can get a bit problematic.

Pretty much any prot pally at any level of gear has a 4-5k mana pool.

I'm pretty sure my mana pool is around 4600 and I never have problems in kara. My group consists of me and a warrior tank and if the leader (a priest) sees that I'm low on mana will go shackle (or just pull) a target and run to me while yelling "consecrate" on vent... I get hit on and healed and voila... more mana! My group never stops... we chain pull all the way to a boss and then stop to make sure buffs are up and to drink up and everything. A few of us are geared in some T5... but mostly T4 and badge gear.

Also, if you have 49% avoidance that is pretty good. I am sitting around 40% avoidance probably... im not quite sure. Not sure how you got that much avoidance and still only have 12k healt though. I am right at 14k unbuffed.

You have enough mana if you can frisbee, exorcise, holy shield, concecrate and judge in a row without having to chuck a pot.
Yes, you indeed do have enough mana, no matter what you try to gear.

i have about a 4500 mana pool and i dotn have any problems unless im tankin trash mobs then i tend to run a lil low but i rarely get OOM unless im going crazy with over threat.. just run kara a few times and find out whats right for your play style if ya want more mana then your prolly going to sacrifice stam/spell dmg but there is always mp5 foods and oil that will help with keepin your mana up..but then again its all your play style

If you run low on mana, hit X, its a free mana potion with no cooldown.

dps was slicing the astral flares so hard that they took curator down to 70% before any evocation >.< God Bless 5k crits.
