Nightbane's Fear nerfed?

I've heard a rumor that Nightbane's fear has been reduced in duration. Can anyone confirm this? If it's true, is it possible to tank him w/o a Fear Ward as a Paladin? My guild is going to go for it tonight. We've only ever killed him with fear wards thus far, but we prolly won't have one for a while.

Without the ability to be immune to a fear, your group will most likely lose someone when you (the MT) gets feared.

Warriors can always stance dance the fear, and with the increase of time between fears, apparently any warrior can do it.

If this was the case I'd suggest just being the off-tank for the adds. That is as important as main tanking him. It's the air-phase which will lead to a wipe and the cock block in the fight, not the tank & spank phase.

I tried offtanking it on my Fury Warrior on sunday (just breaking fears) and it didn't work. I got owned on the first fear, and after that Nightbane would just fear the druid MT around while tail swiping/breathing on the raid. Plus, if anyone resisted, they were pretty much doomed. It wasn't pretty.

Yeah, our first time on him a few weeks ago we tried it with no Fear Ward and it went alright, for a little while. Fear was always hit or miss and usuallt we lost a person during eachground phase. Our issue in my guild is that we lack a guilded fearward and warriors at the time. But now we have a couple of them, new though they may be. I just wanted to see if it was worth trying since I believe either of them have gear I am comfortable with.

Luckily we have some amazing healers so I think we'd be able to do it with a warrior tank.

I know it isn't foolproof, but the only really effecive way I've found is to have two tremor totems up and as soon as you're feared spam exorcism, I've tanked him a couple of times and it's always let me get agro back before anyone gets killed.
