Am i ready?

hi. i was just wondering if i am ready to start tanking heroic instances. I've currently only tanked a little of H bf, ramps and Ub. if i am not ready what should i try and improve on. i plan on getting the oath keeper's helm soonish so that will probably help. thanks. also am i ready to start tanking the first few bosses of kara or should i w8 for badge/heroic gear

No you are not ready.

- Get kings talent good for heroics too boost your hp
- Get +12 stamina gems you can go down to 485 defense
- Get +40 spell dmg enchant
- Enchant your bracers with stamina and so on and so forth

You will be eaten alive in heroics. Unless you got an epic 1600+ healer.

Try Slave pens first, by far the easiest.

You can tank some easier heroics, but need very good healers. Offtanking Kara is ok, but don't ever try maintanking anything in there yet.

About your gear,

- If you can afford the Oathkeeper helm, why don't you get the Tankatronic goggles instead? Drop skinning and learn enginneering. You won't regret it as you can use the Tankatronic goggles until you have T5/6 tanking helm.

- get a real tanking boots! Fleshbeast is a very good one you can get easily from a normal MT quest.

- get Libram of Repentence (though you need BoJs for it).

- you have several of the enchant wrong..... weapon needs +40 spell dmg, bracer +12 sta, cloak +12 dodge, chest +150 hp, helm get KoT enchant.

- grind Shatar reput for epic shield

- buy Bracer of Green fortress if you can afford

about the enchants I've been waiting till i get better gear till i spend the money needed.

also about the oathkeeper's helm im not buy it im gonna farm the mats and have it made. so its easier to get then raise enginerring up to 350 or w/e it is for the goggles

Some of those items are the best you'll get in those slots until KZ/heroic epics.

If you don't want to spend the gold on enchants, you might want to reconsider playing a tank.

Exactly. Playing as a tank is always expensive, no matter you are a pally tank, druid tank or warrior tank.

That's why some guilds have economical support for their tanks. You can try asking your guildleader.
