Heroic Mech 5 badge run still exists!

Postby Lalecize » Tue Jan 29, 2008 8:41 pm

I've been doing this for a while, and thought I'd share it with you for those who don't know.

A 5 badge heroic mech run is still possible. Heres how it works.

You can in fact get 2 badges from the cache of the legion.

Grab your team of 5 and go into normal mech. Clear the first mini boss on the right (should take all of 5 minutes) and grab the red half of the key.

Go into heroic mech, and go left, and clear the second mini boss. You will get the blue key off him. You can then join the red you have from normal, with the heroic blue to make the cache of the legion key.

Clear down to the cache and loot your badges, BUT LEAVE the blue item in there.
The blue item stops the cache from despawning.

Now head back to the start, and clear right. Once the miniboss is down he drops the red key (keep this in your backpack to repeat the trick on your next heroic mech run). Once that miniboss is down head back to the cache (you can do so before or after the first real boss), and WHAMMO another badge has appeared.

Roll on the blue and head on up.

So badges =

Mechano Lord x 1
Cache x 2
Fiery bitch x 1
Pantys x 1

In summary the badge in the cache is spawned on the death of a miniboss, so this trick basically allows you to loot a badge after a miniboss is dead, and then respawn it by killing the second. The blue item left in stops the cache from dissappearing.

Whats more is you end up with the red half of the key leftover at the end, so you only have to get it from normal mech once. After that you always have the first half!

Awww... You don't really "owe" us anything. Just hope that someone doesn't go postin' this around the main forums. :P

That's pretty awesome though ... And not too hard to do.

I don't think it will work.

You have to kill 1 miniboss to spawn a badge in the cache. That means there is only the possibility of 2 badges in the cache.

I.e if you made the key then just snuck straight to the cache there would be no badge in there.

I Guess it could be tested tho.

IMHO 5 badge H.Bot is still the foshizzle. You get 6 LPS, 1 VC and 5 badges.
Bring a some AoE and it's a 45 min smash n grab. Bloody awesome instance for farming shit. Absolutely love the place when it's the daily :)

I just posted a comment, but it has to go through approval ... and I doubt that he'll let it slide...

Here's what I wrote.

You, sir, are LEGENDARY at Plagiarism. Did you learn the skill when you were young? Did you apply it in school?

From us, to you... Good job on putting this on an exploit site. Won't last long.

Jackass.

Big deal, just to shattered halls instead more badges less time IMO. This would come out sooner or later anyways.

Actually tbh by the time you get that "extra" badge, you can get one quick and easy one from like heroic MT or any other heroic :)

Its not too bad if u have the red key in your bag from doing it previously.

You just clear left, loot the cache once, then head to the first boss.

Takes maybe 10 mins extra at the most, depending on the group, and its all stuff you have to clear anyway.
