Last boss in SP - boss not affected by RD :(

that's what i find in Heroic and normal. cant taunt him back after he turns to spray a party member (like a druid or warrior can).

i use a macro and didnt try directly casting it, tho i did try BoP on the target, but made no difference..

Last time I did it I swear it was no longer tauntable by a warrior either.

The key to that fight is to have everyone very spread out anyway.

The channeled spit can be outranged.
Tell everyone to stand at absolute maxrange, and he'll use it on you every time.

I find two healers to be very helpful with him.

Usually what I do is run with a Feral Druid. He's all MewMew the whole instance, and then throws on his tanking gear for Quag, while I pull out my PVP Healer set.

I heal the party while our Resto Druid keeps him up. Works well, but he's so pissed at our seemless role changes that he refuses to drop the belt.

I must concur I am pretty sure he is untauntable.

But the number of times it's worked for me is tiny. I see the debuff go up on him and immediately leave.

First time did that boss, he always took off after someone else after the acid spray, and my taunt was down because I used it while he was spraying. A few wipes and we go home.

Then I read that the taunt doesn't work while he's chanelling, that you should taunt after he's done.

Next time I went in there, I didn't get a chance to try it, because he never deaggro'd from me (other than while spraying).

I seem to recall seeing something in some patch notes somewhere that he would not be tauntable anymore.

I did him on normal yesterday and he never deagroed me through the whole fight, not even through the spit.

I just pulled him to the front of the pool, turned him around away from group and did the old tank and spank routine. Rogue and Shaman DPSed him from the back, healer and hunter from range.

ok thatks for the replies guys. the gm response of either "delete your mods" or "working as intended / I cant give you any gameplay hints" didnt really cut it..

Have similar problems tanking Slave Pens and the last boss. I can say he is tauntable, well on my warrior he was anyways. I can say, I do have problems on my paladin taunting him away from the party when he does his geyser.

He isn't tauntable during the geyser though, but if you are building ghreat the whole time, then that should not be an issue he should snap right back around and start pounding you again.
