Best Protection spec

Hello I am very new to Paladins and to tanking in general since my other toons are casters. I really want to make a tanking pally and would like to know what the best spec to complete this. My goal is to tank 5 mans and some end game instances. A couple questions which is best race for pally and what is best protect spec.

That's a pretty popular spec, I don't think you'll regret going with exactly that.

However, for leveling I'd strongly advise you to grab Seal of Command and then Spiritual Focus. Command helps because about the same time you get that, you get a questline which rewards you with a very powerful 2-handed hammer. That hammer, with Seal of Command, rocks.
