Tanking build I saw on a MT paladin in a big guild.
This is the build I saw of a paladin tank working on LK25HM
Ok, I understand the why in which you might spec this, but really, aren't you hurting yourself more than helping yourself?

This pear. So delicious.
The best thing to do is to ask that guy why he did what he did. Speculation on the forums tends to be as productive as chatter about what bag Celebrity A was seen carrying around that morning.

That build gives a bit more survivability for a considerable loss in threat. Depending on his role in the fight, it's appropriate.

This Build would give him the following CDs:
Divine Protection - Self
Divine Guardian - Self and 30yd raid
Aura Mastery - Self (Soul Repear)
Lay on Hands - Target (or self if timed correctly)
Hand of Sacrifice - Target
I would personally not use this for that fight, but nonetheless I can see the benefits of it if you are the 2nd tank.

The reason I'm posting here instead of asking him directly is this person isn't easily approached, as they are EU, and I'm not (so no asking in game) and the guild is large enough that I can't just send a PM on the board and hope that they respond, because previous questions like this have NEVER been answered.
and Grehn, you hate my thread, but I love you.

Clearly you are not dedicated enough to have accounts on both continents! Hurr-hurr!

It's a curse. Not a blessing.

Hello!
Lazeil, Paragon -> Right?
I don't know exactly where he could use that talent build, but maybe at Sindragosa25hm, LichKing25hm or Saurfang25hm.
Any other guess?
Why should anyone use LoH on self? I would prefer to use divine protection. - And on other's... 15sec 20% less phys. dmg, which you can use one or maybe two times.
And at least i can't understand that Divinity thing ... 5% more overheal?

It's not exactly Lazeil's build. Laz still takes 1/2 Imp Judgement.
There's nothing really all that surprising about the build though. It's a LK-specific spec (1/2 HoJ is a dead giveaway) that trades loads of threat for utility and survivability. Keep in mind that they 5-healed the encounter, so the tanks will want to do anything they can to help reduce healer load.
I would imagine AM is to help with the raid-wide damage as well. It's a 15-minute encounter, so you can easily use it 6 or 7 times. With a few paladins, you could cover a significant portion of the Infest casts (or soul reapers if tank cooldowns are at a premium).

A 51/20/0 holy could get Imp Devo for you so I suppose AM Shadow Aura is realistic. What about the rumor floating around that the raid all had a /cancel fort, kings, command shout, mark macro to drop HP and self remove Infest. Makes AM-Shadow a little redundant? Hmm, actually I never looked what the spirits explode damage is.

It isn't Paragon, its Mack from Ensidia's build. Obviously it is a very specific build for these encounters, and it would only work in a 25 man setting where you will have others doing Demo shout, but the absolute lack of threat in the built is what has me baffled.

Threat isn't an issue for LK. The DPS are busy running from defile, killing Valks, etc. You, on the other hand, have plenty of time to build threat since he's being tanked 100% of the time he's DPS-able.
It could be annoying for raging spirits, but if you're picking up the last one or two anyhow, then you have a lot of face time before the DPS gets to them. And top guilds are very good about using MD/TotT wisely when necessary.

Anyone should write a message to ensidia and ask for this build.
