Is there a valid reason for skipping Vindication?

I'd suppose there might somehow possibly almost never but maybe in .00003333% (that's repeating, of course) cases where skipping Vindication for a tanking paladin might in some different universe be remotely valid. I'd rather take the talent myself, however, and not rely on somebody else putting up the debuff that directly affects my own survival as a tank. Maybe it's not useful for a certain fight, or a certain phase of a fight, and if the non-usefulness of a talent is very situational, I'd rather be safe and pick it up for the overwhelming majority of time that it is useful.

While I can certainly sympathise with people trying to grasp at straws to justify not taking it, it really is a mandatory talent to pick. No excuse is even remotely viable for skipping it.
