The effect of 2% crit is small in all situations. The effect of 15% running speed is pretty much nothing in most situations, and highly useful in some situations. I'd get 2/2 PoJ and 3/5 Conviction.

... is probably what I'll be shooting for. 99% of the time we have a Ret and a Holy with Imp Might in the raid hence I haven't shot for Imp Might. Benediction vs HotC... personal choice. Divinity vs Imp HoJ + Div Sacrifce... personal choice but Divinity just *feels* better. May chance depending on what sort of interrupts are needed and what sort of spikey damage exists when I'm not tanking.

Allo!
I was testing en PTR with a build without SA using this rotation;
Judgement of Wisdom
Shield of Righteousness
Hammer of the Righteous
Holy Shield
Exorcism (1 every 2 rotations)
Using Seal of Corruption.
Mana keep up active for almost 5 ~ 6 min aprox. this without using Blessing of Sanctuary so... i think we can work without SA, we'll see.
Bye bye

The greatest mana-consuming ability is Consecration. You haven't included it in your rotation. And it's a major skill (tests show that Exorcism by no means outdamages Consecration, I believe), so you can decrease those 5-6 min significantly.
And in some threads they don't take Divinity... Well, our advantage has been said numerous times to be easier and more consistent healability. 5% more healing on us contributes a lot to that. I don't really think it's advisable to spec out of it...

Allo!
This time i used Consecration instead of Exorcism...
5 ~ 6 min. with Exorcism
~ 1 min. with Consecration
And if we use Consecration + Exorcism... bye bye mana!
This is only with DP up all the time.
Maybe i'll put only 1 point in SA to get down in the tree.
Bye bye.

And, in my opinion, you shouldn't be. JotJ is a flat 10% swing damage reduction per point, before counting any procs a boss may have with his swing. Good luck justifying it.

Not liking the latest change much...
Current change pretty much forces us to use 2 talent points to get SA and yet we still are forced to waste a point in either Divine Sacrifice, Reckoning or someplace else in order to get to the Tier6 talents
As a result, if you want to fully spec SA you are forced into 54 points in the Prot Tree...
Face it, every talent on tier 6 and up is mandatory to a serious tanking build, unless we find we can maintain a full threat rotation with just DP and SA at 1/2.
Basically bad design, IMHO.
0/53/18 was a nice looking build before they did the SA change.
I would like to see them shuffle the talents around a bit more...
For example, Redoubt could quite safely be moved from Tier 8 down to Tier 4 or 5....no Ret or Holy build is ever gonna take the talent, so why have it so high up..
That would allow us to select useful points in the lower tiers without having to waste one or two...
Fact is, if you want to spec DS or some of the 'optional' talents to increase utility or pvp ability at the expense of either survivability or threat, thats a personal choice, but we should not be forced into it

In theory we didn't, but it was changed to be an improved form of Divine Sacrifice. For some reason they still haven't updated the tree with it.Korimoor wrote:When did we lose Divine Guardian ? I must have missed that.

DS and imp DS are exactly the type of talents I was referring to. Nice enough utility, but not ones I consider mandatory for the pure tanking build.
