I'd drop the RD glyph if you can work around it.
Don't make me sarcasm you...

Best way to know how it would feel is to drop the RD glyph and swap in the Hand of Salve one for a night. Carry an extra RD glyph on you and if you end up missing the taunts enough to have it be a problem, then swap it in on the spot.

It really isn't that bad. We have two taunts, so just be ready to hit the other one.
I rule.

This is what I run as well. If you really can't live without the RD glyph, you can drop it back in for SoV at the cost of about 120 TPS, or around 60 if you're already soft-capped without the glyph.

Re: Glyph of Hand of Salvation.
I've just swapped out my Judgement glyph for Salv glyph.
I've been wishing for an extra cooldown for ages, this may just be worth it. Although our Ulduar dpsers are far better geared, and riding my ass for Threat the entire fight. Think it'll be handy while in Naxx, and once better geared in Ulduar though.

RD glyph is BS now as we have more hit gear than we wanted.
You don't even use RD that frequent now as you have HoR.
I don't know why some peeps got dpsers ride their ar$e in raid. As Tankadin you should be the last tank being rode on threat. Check if you are doing the 69 'properly'

Re: Glyph of Hand of Salvation.
P.S.
The other day I found this worked like wonder, on the initial pull of the cat lady, 2 tank mucked up and laid dead, insta kill. I popped HoS along with bubble wall up, tanking all 4 cats along with the lady.
I managed to survive long enuff to let our dr00ds raise the warrior and DK, no matter it is multicaptive/addictive/whatever, it worked like wonder.

I am, we run with 1 or 2 boomkins, both far far far better geared than me. If I'm on equal gear level with people, I far outthreat them.
HoS glyph is very good if you never have threat issues. My DPS are smart enough to keep just below me, I've told them to try and stay 5% back at least, so that I can pop wings at the same time, and only tend to drop about 5% to them at that time.

Re: Glyph of Hand of Salvation.
I picked up the HoSalv glyph for the first time yesterday and must admit that i was really wrong about it's effectiveness.
Yes, it is HIGHLY situational as a main tank. I have to say it seems to be flat-out designed for the Steelbreaker-Last hard mode. I rotated HoSalv with my trinkets and Bubblewall the entire time and kept healer mana high, and in the end, i still had a massive threat lead.
Other uses: It's amazing when you're trash tanking. Crusher tentacles on Yogg-Saron, Golems on Ignis, there's quite a few places where an extra cooldown went a long way to save healers some mana, places where threat was not an issue.
I would still be VERY skeptical about using it as a MT like i would use DProt, my warlocks are always riding not-too-far behind me on threat. (Maybe i should nix blade ward for accuracy...)

Wings + Salv = sexy extra cd
Wings will increase your threat *generation* by 20% for the duration, HoSalv will decrease your *total accumulated* threat by 20%. AW doesn't come close to making up for the threat loss of HoSalv.

WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?

Scriggle - 85 Fire Mage
Fizzmore - 81 Mut Rogue
Adorania - 80 Disc Priest

Re: Glyph of Hand of Salvation.
Not really. If used on CD AW is a 2.22% increase in DPS at best. If used the way you suggested it would only be a 2.17% increase, 15% less effective than if you used AW right after a HoSalv use. You also have to consider that even paladins with threat talents have access to AW meaning the relative gain is none.SellassieTanks wrote:Make up Completely? No
