Well both now and in 3.1 you sacrifice threat for the speed.

I see a lot of proposed builds with Divinity. For me, dual spec eliminates the need for healing utility in my prot spec, since I will swap to heal spec for encounters in which I heal.

Is there any reason to take Divinity as a tank? I thought it was shown fairly conclusively that it really only contributes to overhealing, since the healer can't downrank.

I am looking at a build like this:

The ratio of gain to sacrifice has changed significantly, however. Plus picking up kings is no longer a concern.

Picking up kings never stopped PoJ use in 3.0

The differences aren't so great either. 2-4 points in SotP + 0-2 in reckoning versus 2 in conviction.

Sure you can get Kings and PoJ...but that means giving up at least 4 points in SotP. 2 points in conviction vs 4 points in SotP....since those talents are close that's twice the tradeoff, or in other words, "a significant difference in the tradeoff required". The cost of sinking 4 points to get to tier 3 is also spread among a greater number of talents with a Crusade spec.
