my 3.1 build
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin ... rsion=9658
the wowhead talent spec at the moment is missing divinity.
With my spec above ive taken only enough points in divinity that i avoid other lacklustre talents to get to deep prot (reckoning).
I usually end up with 4 points left over. In this build i stuffed them into 2/2 improved BoMight for raid functionallity and 2/2 into persuit of justice cauz i like all the speed i can get.

Re: my 3.1 build
I think it looks good. Almost an exact copy of the one i am going to use tbh
I am however going to put those 5 points from the holy three to conviction which gives me 5% more critchance. THis is how that would look like:
My 3.0.1 offtanking specandmy 3.0.1 maintanking spec
I think u will gain more treath by getting 5% more critt =)

I agree with going into the Ret tree for threat, but you are skipping 1 Handed Weapon Specialization, which is 10% more damage... all of it. I know it has been repeated and repeated before, but Reckoning isn't too strong any more. At all. Especially with that offtank spec, for a good portion of boss fights you will basically be another DPS on the boss. This means that Reckoning has an uptime of 0 under those circumstances.
These are just a few things that bug me about your spec, there are other things I could touch up on but those were the main ones.

3% flat damage is better than 3% crit. Crusade > Sanctified Seals imo.

Math comparing spec, rotation, and glyph choices for tanking. Halfway down the post are plots of DPS/TPS vs. some of the cookie cutter specs, calculated for a few different optimal glyph/rotation choices.
I won't repeat everything I said there, but basically 3/3 Crusade is better than 3/3 Sanctity of Battle, even with an Exorcism substitution rotation (and Crusade is considerably better for standard 969 without Exorcism).
As a rough estimate, compare 0/5x/15 (5/5 conviction) to 0/5x/18c (5/5 Conviction 3/3 crusade). The 3 points in Crusade give you 750-800 DPS (and roughly 2000 TPS), so each point should give you at least 250 DPS.
None of those ret specs took less than 5/5 Conviction, so I'm not 100% sure how a 2/5 Conviction 3/3 Crusade spec would come out, but it should be somewhere between 0/5x/15 and 0/5x/18c. If I had to guess at a number, I'd say roughly halfway between.

For me there is the movement speed bonus of persuit of justice... doing alot of classic Strath farming and extra speeeeeed come in very handy.
Will likely drop it later.
I also like being as useful as possible in a raid, thus my current spec has 2 pts in heart of the crusader for extra raid crits.
Assuming the tree doesnt change, my base tanking spec would be
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin ... rsion=9658
which leaves 9pts to throw around.
Made me wonder though... with that current tree build u need 5 or so less points to 'pimp it out' thoroughly compared to our current tree.
I reckon changes will occur later
