new divine guardian functionality
didn't see this in any other thread. in case anyone missed the note, and were wondering whats happening to the current divine guardian, when divine sacrifice is put in
* Divine Guardian re-designed: Now increases the effectiveness of Divine Sacrifice by an additional 5/10% and increases the duration of Sacred Shield by 50/100% and the amount absorbed by 10/20%.
from http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 1917&sid=1
so there you go, being changed, not removed

Divine Sacrifice? Does it actually mean Hand of Sacrifice?
Not sure if the buff to Sacred Shield is useful or not. I haven't done the Maths but I think since Sacred Shield scales with spell power, Healadins' Sacred Shield is still absorbing more damage than Tankadin's with the +20%.
[edit] Continued reading the patch note and realized that Divine Sacrifice is a new talent.

I'm wondering if the change to DG is in part to make sacred shield into a mini-Shield Block, a short cooldown talent to absorb some part of the incoming damage.

Still not a great skill, especially since it can only be active on one person now (big ultility loss in 5 mans and possibly 10 mans.
For Prot:
It doesn't scale
You need to be hit before the bubble goes up
Doesn't increase threat
Mitigates a fraction of what SB does.
Two changes I think that would go a long way to making it better would be if it's shield refreshed automatically every 6 seconds and if it was allowed to scale with TbtL.

You missed one: takes up a GCD.
I'm personally not up for having to hit a mediocre skill every minute and lose threat because of it.

I'm pretty sure it scales with spellpower, which scales with Stamina. Don't quote me on that though.

You would think that but SP derived from TbtL or Sheath of light is not included. I wonder if the holy talent to derive SP from int is affected as well (not that they would notice necessarily).

Spell power from GbtL works on SS (mine absorbs in the 1100-1200 range raid buffed)
Sheath is "bugged" (no one managed to have a confirm of it being intended or not so far) and it doesnt add anything
