Link is a Paladin--Proof Inside

Just because I don't want to play WoW right now, I decided to give absolute proof that Link from the Legend of Zelda series is indeed, a Paladin. For this proof, I am using The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, so you are encouraged to add greater proof from other games.

1. Link has a magic bar, just like a Paladin.

2. Link can either use a one-handed sword and a shield or a two-handed sword, just like a Paladin.

3. Link's Goron Tunic allows him to survive in extreme heat, just like the Paladin's Fire Resistance Aura.

4. Link has a mirror shield, able to reflect light and attacks in a similar manner to a Paladin's Holy Shield sending Holy Damage to an attacker on hit.

5. Link uses the Megaton Hammer, which is a mace, something that a Paladin would be able to equip.

6. Link is able to sling around a Boomerang, similar to the Paladin's Avenger's Shield ability. Both abilities also have the capability of allowing Link/the Paladin to catch up to a fleeing enemy.

7. Link also has access to the Hookshot, which functions as a limited range stun just like Hammer of Justice.

8. Link has a spell called Din's Fire, which is an AoE fire attack similar to Consecration (take a look at it, Consecration throbs like it's on fire and the symbol for it is a fire).

9. Link has a spell called Nayru's Love, which is an invincible bubble just like Divine Shield.

10. Link gets a horse for only a little trouble in Epona. Paladins get a horse at level 30 for only a little trouble.

11. Link is considered the Hero of Time, who descended from the light in the Temple of Time and is automatically given the Light Medallion when he is an adult. This easily makes him the Champion of Light, which is what a Paladin is.

12. When Link is able to get the Master Sword from the Temple of Time, he is met by Ganon, who hits him with a shadow spell. Does it kill Link? No, it doesn't. This seems awfully similar to the Shadow Resistance Aura.

13. Link uses strength enhancing items (the gauntlets and Goron's bracelet), just like today's Paladins using +strength items.

So there you have it--Link is a Paladin.

Here is the Link to the Past comparison, furthering our proof that Link is indeed, a Paladin:

1. Link only wields one-handed swords and shields in this game, just like a Tankadin.

2. Link gets two tunics, which reduces damage, just like Ardent Defender and a plethora of other Tankadin reduction talents.

3. Link uses strength enhancing gloves and Paladins are using items with +strength to increase their seals and stuff.

4. The Boomerang still functions similar to Avenger's Shield and it acts as a ranged stun like Hammer of Justice.

5. The Cane of Byrna is an invincibility bubble. Divine Shield strikes again.

6. The Magic Cape keeps aggro off of Link until he takes off the cape, which is Hand of Protection.

7. The Magic Hammer is another mace that Paladins can equip and use.

8. The Bombos Medallion is that AoE fire effect, similar enough to Consecrate (see original post for explanation).

9. Link again uses Magic, just like a Paladin.
