Judgements of the Just: Does it work on raid mobs?

Postby Stahlgeist » Thu Oct 30, 2008 6:44 am

I see this talent included in pretty much every post-3.0.2 build I've looked at. I searched to see if there were any posts on this topic but I couldn't see any, and if I'm just repeating old questions I appologize.

Raid Bosses tend to be immune to most status impairment effects. Wouldn't they ignore the speed reduction aspect of judgements with this talent included?

I can see this being included for people who solo as prot, but unless you're riding the edge of the knife gear-wise you wouldn't even want this in an instance.

That is, unless I'm totally wrong and it works on raid bosses, then this talent is awesome. ;)

The whole point was for it to match tclap's 20% reduction that is mandatory in every boss fight.

The idea behind the talent is so they can balance bosses around the swing timer debuff.

I.E. BOSS DAMAGE IS GOING TO BE BALANCED AROUND HAVING EITER FROST FEVER, JUDGEMENTS OF THE JUST, THUNDER CLAP OR INFECTED WOUNDS PLACED ON IT.

I.E v2.0 Take the talent or you get smushed. Kthx.

Boss damage was already scaled around Thunderclap in TBC, that's not anything new.

Yes, people don't seem to get that though.

In BC it was scaled to TC because only Warriors were expected to be main tanks.

After 3.03 aren't we reliant on JoL threat to compensate for the heavy handed ret nerfs?

Someone in game tried to tell me that it didn't work for raid bosses after looking at my spec. Where do these nasty rumors come from i wonder?

Bad players. I'm assuming the ones that think heal tanking is viable, for example.

Probably the fact that it does not show up on the mob's debuff bar like let's say Heart of the Crusader.

On a side note - if there are 2 JoL on the mob (it doesen't matter who judged first) and I judge light, too, its always my JoL that heals; even if my JoL heals for less.
Seems to be a side-effect of JotJ.

It's a known bug it's heals belong to the guy that judged last, as oposed to the guy with most ap/sp as intended.
