Apologies for the crossposting. Here's the prettified macro including DR on miss:
Exactly 255 characters so you'll probably need to obfuscate to change it more.
- Code: Select all
/script dr=function(x)return 1/(1/16+0.9560/x)end;DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Need 102.4 combat table coverage. Currently at: "..string.format("%.2f", GetDodgeChance()+GetBlockChance()+GetParryChance()+5+dr(GetCombatRating(CR_DEFENSE_SKILL)/122.962)))
Exactly 255 characters so you'll probably need to obfuscate to change it more.

Just to be clear, the number this shows me is how close I am to the block cap with all DR taken into account?

Sheesh... with the pre-WotLK macro I was at 107% with this one I am at 98%.
Are diminishing returns on miss really that harsh?
I assumed I was block capped because I had always heard get 102.4% plus a few extra %s... 9% is quite a bit more than a few.

DR from defense is brutal, I've read 100 times over. Everyone was saying 2-3% above your macro is showing, and i lost ~2% with this macro, so I'm thinking it looks good.
Was your old macro updated for the loss of 20 defense via talent when 3.0 hit? If not, that could be your problem.
