Easy pre Heroic/Naxx10 uncrittable gearset

Def rating needed for crit cap is 689, currently the unenchanted/ungemmed/untrinketed set has 649. The 40is covered from gems/enchants and hopefully trinkets.

These items are not necessarily best in slot for their item level as there is a focus on defense rating, (hopefully allowing for upgrading in Naxx10 without worrying about becoming crittable again).

All items are new in WoTLK, BoE craftable, quest rewards plus one honored rep reward. For crafting rare quality items have been used rather than epic quality due to it being a bare minimum entry level gearset. This should make getting the set very easy.

No defensive/sta trinkets which follow the above rule are available yet (Darkmoon faire deck rewards not out on wowhead). Same for Libram.

Yes a def based weapon was used.

nice post for a general idea of the entry sets or new tankadins. if my def rating plummets and can't make up for it with ym other gear i'll be comming back =p

any chance you can post what other stats you will have with all this gear on? like avoidance, block, hp, etc.

Shoulders – Tempered Saronite Shoulders, Blacksmithing = 24 saronite ore

So I would make a couple of changes there...

Wyrmrest Accord revered is not THAT easy. It's easy, granted, but it's easy with running about 6-7 heroics, which maybe you already want to be uncrittable to do. When I hit 80, I was ALMOST honored with them, and had to do some championing in an instance to hit Honored. So i'd say the cloak is definitely a good choice. However for the chest and boots I would put down:

They are kinda like new Halaa things, but the rewards are actually worthwhile. Good librams there as well. Daily quests there award coins.

Venture Coins are from PvP Quests just like Marks in tBC.

I changed the list to the 2 items you suggested. At first I was making the list solely for Naxx10 so revered seemed reasonable.

As the list is open to gear changes from suggestions (like above) haven't included mats or a final stats list.

Ebon Blade Honored is definitely more likely while levelling than Wyrmrest Revered. The boots from them are a good choice.

You might want to included a few alterantives too. That way people don't think this is the only way to gear. You could add in some BoE epics like the JC neck. They may not be easy to get when wrath is first released but a moth or two with 80s the market will stablize and they can be valid options for a new 80. Could you also show the enchants used too?
